Local Support Groups

Cancer is one of the most stressful experiences you can go through and it helps to know you are not alone. Support groups help people in many ways. They provide emotional support with a safe place to discuss the challenges of cancer, allow sharing of similar experiences and sharing practical information and resources. Sometimes even the most supportive family and friends have difficulty  

Charities And Donations

There are several charities and cancer organizations both locally and nationally which you can get involved with or make cancer donations.

Volunteering

The American Cancer Society has several ways to get involved and volunteer to improve the lives of cancers patients.

Support Groups

The MUSC Health Florence Oncology Support Group is open to all patients, their families, and their caregivers. Cancer affects everyone. The goal of this group is to encourage, support, and provide a community for those affected by cancer. It is free of charge and is open to the community.
